Order Of Merit
The Order Of Merit runs for the duration of each season with members scoring points in each competition according to where they are placed. The member with the highest number of points at the end of each calendar year will be declared the Society's Champion Golfer.
Points are awarded for the President's Cup, Charity Medal, Barbill Bell and Masters as follows:
1st - 20, 2nd - 19, 3rd - 18, 4th - 17 and so on decreasing by 1 point per place.
Points are awarded for the Open Championship, including the Crystal Ball, as follows:
1st - 30, 2nd - 28, 3rd - 26, 4th - 25 and so on decreasing by 1 point per place.
In the event of any ties, excluding 1st place, the points available across those positions are shared.
5 points are awarded to each player on the winning Riley Cup team.
